In another entry in our occasional series of Motoring Virals, Volvo have come to the conclusion that they should make their brand a bit more naughty.
This car is naughty. Apparently.
So much so that the entire premise of the new Volvo S60 site is that you can be as naughty as you like. To a point. The S60′s remarkable safety features are showcased, demonstrating how the car can save you from your own naughtiness, should an elk stray into your path as you cruise down the icy highway. There’s even a naughty dial, so you can see how the car reacts whether you are being a little cheeky, or an absolute swine. Slight disappointment that the dial doesn’t go to 11.
Volvo have become rather carried away with the naughty theme, though, and have launched an experiment to find the naughtiest city in Europe. This part of the site is really quite interesting, but, due to the way the site is put together I can’t send you directly there, you’ll have to click here, and then look for the link on the right hand side of the movie. Here’s their video on the subject, anyway.
It does seem, though, that the S60 itself has heard that it is supposed to be naughty. As you may have heard, a recent demonstration of the safety features covered on the Volvo site went a little awry.
Volvo’s press office blamed a flat battery for this monumental fail, but if the battery is flat, how come the windscreen wipers are still going?
